Since September 6, Courier Journal journalists have been working from the South-Central Regional Library in Okolona.
We have already heard from some of you, who have stopped to speak or sent us notes on issues we should write about in your community.
Now our editors are coming out, and we invite you to stop by and tell us what you think.
Meet the Editor’s Night is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 13 at the Library, 7300 Jefferson Blvd.
Come tell us what stories we should cover in Okolona and what we can do to provide the information you need. No one knows your community better than you. We come to listen in order to be better informed and to better cover the various communities in our region.
Meet the Editors Night is part of the Courier Journal’s mobile newsroom, which started in July in Shively and moved to Russell in August. We’ve partnered with the Louisville Free Public Library and work from their various branches, chatting with residents and writing about issues that matter to you.
A few of our reporters work weekdays in the library from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until September 23. Come see us or we’ll come to you. Let us know the best place and the best time.
We already have a few stories in the works based on our conversations with residents. We are learning a lot about Okolona and look forward to hearing from you on Tuesday and in the weeks to come.
If you have any story ideas or feedback you would like to share with us now, use the form below to contact us or fill it out via this link: gannett-nxuao.formstack.com/forms/mobile_newsroom.
