Crop Comments: There could be a new No. 1 after this week, as Bay and Rocky River are set to face off Sept. 21 at Bay. He’s a contender for Game of the Year, with Bay star Tessa Knapp (sophomore) scoring 25 against Sophia Sindelar, who scored 19 ahead of the Pirates game against Bellevue. … The majority of the remaining crop remains consistent, with Olmsted Falls leapfrogging Westlake to No. 7 while Midview falls two places. … Avon Lake could be ready to fight their way into the top two with a solid week, as their regular-season unbeaten streak stretched to 27 after a Sept. 17 win. The last defeat of the Shoregals? Against Avon last September, the same Avon they held to a scoreless tie a few weeks ago. … The only new entrant to the roster for this week is Vermilion, who pushed Open Door for last place.
