ISHPEMING, MI – Kaye Elizabeth Dunn, 78, a lifelong resident of Ishpeming, died Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where she had resided for nearly 2 months.

Kaye was born in Ishpeming, October 7, 1943, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Minnie (Boase) and the late Wesley Theodore Harris. She was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, Class of 1962. Kaye had worked at Eklund Laundry and then in the laundry department at Mather Nursing Center before her retirement. Kaye enjoyed camping and boating with her husband, Rex, in her youth.

Kaye is survived by one brother, Richard (Carol) Harris of Ishpeming; 2 nephews – Jerry (Angela) Harris of Ishpeming; Douglas Lyyski of Kenosha, Wis.; 8 great-nieces and nephews; 11 great-great-great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-great-great-nephew.

She was predeceased by her husband, Hayden “Rex” Dunn Jr., January 14, 2021; parents, Ted and Elizabeth Harris; in-laws, Hayden and Betty Dunn Sr.; brother, Thomas Harris; and his niece, Diane Harris.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at Ishpeming Cemetery, where Kaye’s interment will take place.

The family would like to thank the staff of Marquette Co Medical Center 500 Wing for their kind and compassionate care of Kaye.
