MILL VALLEY
The city council cancels
June election
Mill Valley City Council voted on Monday to appoint three new members to council and overturn the June election.
The council approved a resolution appointing Jim Wickham to complete the final two years of a term vacated by former council member Tricia Ossa, who left the state in August.
The board also named Max Perrey and Stephen Burke to two open four-year positions. If the election had not been annulled, the two candidates would have presented themselves without opposition.
This decision will save the city approximately $45,000 in election expenses.
