SPRINGVILLE – Bertrand Chaffee Hospital is pleased to announce the introduction of the Orthopedic Surgery Center at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital starting May 2.
Dr. Paul Mason, MD, will provide orthopedic services to Springville and surrounding communities. Dr. Mason completed medical school at the State University of New York at Jacobs School of Medicine in Buffalo and completed orthopedic training and a fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction at Henry Ford Health World-renowned systems. He is certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Mason is a founding partner of Buffalo Orthopedic Group and Buffalo Bone and Joint Surgery. He is a past chair of medical staff at Sisters of Charity Hospital and served as medical director of Millard Fillmore Ambulatory Surgical Center.
Dr. Mason is originally from Western New York, where he has practiced for nearly 20 years and where he and his wife raised their four children.
Joining Dr. Mason is Physician Assistant Jim O’May. Mr. O’May is a graduate of MSc in Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen University. He practiced with Dr. Mason for 16 years. Originally from Rochester, Mr. O’May is the proud father of two daughters and currently resides in Lancaster.
Dr. Mason specializes in hip and knee reconstruction, arthroscopic treatment of shoulder disorders and carpal tunnel syndrome. It has earned JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization) accreditation for advanced hip and knee joint reconstruction certification and is one of the few joint programs in New York State to have achieved this prestigious certificate. His consistent HCAHPS scores rank him in the top 1% of orthopedic surgeons nationwide.
